Distribution Groups

• Distribution groups are also known as distribution lists
• They are email-only groups
• A distribution group is represented by an email address
• The main purpose of this email address is to send emails to all members of the group
• Important: Do not use distribution groups for access control

Examples:

• s-biology@contoso.edu
• s-physics@contoso.edu
• staff-academic@contoso.edu
• it-support@contoso.edu
• lab-chemistry@contoso.edu, etc
